It seems that amidst the buzz surrounding workplace assessments and employee wellbeing, some organisations have forgotten a crucial element – their people.

As ergonomists and advocates for creating healthier work environments, we believe it’s important to include the voices of your people in your processes.

At Inspired Ergonomics, we firmly believe that a successful workplace assessment should be more than just a tick in the box. It should be a transformative process that addresses the root causes of discomfort, promotes education, and fosters open lines of communication.

Unfortunately, in many cases, organisations tend to approach these assessments with a heavy-handed management-led procedure that’s primarily focused on checking off a task list.

True change cannot occur without engaging in meaningful conversations, providing education, and actively seeking feedback from the very people who make your business work – the employees!

Feedback is a crucial component of the equation. Regular check-ins, surveys, and focus groups can provide invaluable insights into what’s working and what can be improved. By actively listening to our employees, we not only gain a deeper understanding of their needs but we also build a sense of ownership and engagement. When employees know their voices are heard, they become advocates for positive change.
